An intrepid little adventurer

An intrepid little adventurer

Whether it be indoors, outdoors, on tile or wood, Natalie is now on the move and bravely exploring where no baby has gone before.  Fortunately she has Max and Coco has her trusty sidekicks, and her ever-present-hovering parents who have developed reflexes that rival Spiderman’s.

Trying to eat a little snack (Video)

Natalie loves these little “graduates” snacks. They’re pretty bland, and they teach hand-eye co-ordination and chewing 101.  She’s improving each day, leaving fewer and fewer on her clothes/floor/etc.

Natalie plays her “baby grand”

Natalie really gets a thrill out of playing her little piano. We get the feeling she’ll be putting a lot of miles on these keys… no doubt in preparation for the real thing!

Happy Fathers Day!

Natalie shows her appreciation by grabbing my glasses – and every thing else for that matter.  At 6 months old, she’s now reaching and grabbing everything in sight… definitely keeping us on our toes.

Linda and Em drop by for a visit and we hung out in the garden for some English tea. Thanks to Em for the cute little outfit… Natalie will be sure to make great use of it come “crawl time”.

A little book worm

At 6 months old, Natalie is really taking a liking to her books. One of her favorites is “Good Morning Sunshine!” by Barbara Cratzius and Ute Thonissen, which she’s analyzing below. When she’s not reading, she takes a rest-bite.

Max decides to kill Natalie’s toy dog (Video)

Posted on June 14, 2010 - by Bradley Hebdon

I guess this is what you get when you decide to turn on a toy dog. “Turn on” referring to both the act of inserting batteries, and attacking the defenseless.  The debate continues…. whose toy is it really: Max’s or Natalie’s.

The feeding frenzy

The feeding frenzy

Natalie is really loving her “solids” now.. especially carrots and squash. Peas, not so much.. big surprise there! We’ve been trying a couple of different foods, the Gerber organic variety, and Good Earth. Both of these seem to be of the healthier brands; without the sugar, salt and starch that a lot do have added to them.

And we have lift off… (Video)

Natalie really loves her new jumper. Turns out to be the perfect workout/activity, considering she’s always wanting to stand anyway. Those strong little legs.. we’re going to have to keep an eye on her or she might enter a low orbit.

Natalie in her tutu (Video)

Natalie really loved her tutu! Eating, flopping, shaking, pulling, ruffling… the only thing she didn’t do was take it for a spin on the dance floor. Now that will have to wait for a year or so… and might very include a pair of mom’s high-heals.

Sleeping beauty

Natalie in her crib sleeping beautifully. At 5 months old, it’s her gift to us. Now if she can only get over her to-the-minute, 2 AM shout-out for her misplaced pacifier. Oh well, beggars can’t be choosers.

Au naturel, chubby, and loving it

A cherubic chubby Natalie goes “au naturel” and does some posing on the bed. At nearly 5 months old here, she shows off her rolls. Can’t say I blame her.. can’t be much fun being wrapped up in smelly diapers all day.

Born to pose

Is posiing in the genes? Either way, Denise and Natalie strike a few poses together. Natalie is wearing a cute little tutu designed by Julie, which by Natalie’s reaction, didn’t taste too bad either.

Her Highness in her Highchair (Video)

Natalie tries out her highchair and watches over her domain. While getting used to her new vantage point, she also figures out the mechanics of “spoon entering mouth”, and takes satisfaction with the subsequent sloppiness. It’s good to be queen and full.

Natalie’s first visit to the Long Beach Aquarium (Video)

Natalie checks out the fish at the Long Beach Aquarium, from within the comfortable confines and perspective of a BABYBJÖRN. At almost 3 months old, she was completely awake throughout the tour and fixated on the fish. Take one contraction at a time

At 35 weeks pregnant, we’re now approaching the final straight. As part of the final preparations we attended a 9-5 compressed course at Long Beach Memorial, that shed light on labor, breathing, birthing, drugs, etc.  While there was an enormous amount of information and graphic video footage, the thing that stuck with us most was the instructor’s simple [...]

Vaccine more deadly than Swine flu

Purifying the air for baby’s arrival

With baby looking to show her face on Dec 25th, it pretty much places her birthday within the flu season. After extensive research it became apparent that consumers could [...]
